melkin
Hey guys. Does anybody know where the best place is to buy some 4 spot audience blinders from. I think they're Par 36 lamps. Just wandered if anyone knew where to get from and roughly how much they are likely to cost. Thanks in advance for any response
niclights
I recommend AC. If you're up for wiring yourself then that's usually the cheapest option. Not particularly difficult - two pairs of lamps in series. Lamps are P36 650W 120v DWE. Alternatively there's Thomann. Those Stairville ones look ugly though! lxdad
Try here: http://www.highlite.nl/highlite/silver.eco...g/stageblindersThey have a UK office that should do a bit of a discount. Or here: http://www.tmb.com As suggested, Thomann are also a good bet. LXDad

dmxtothemax
The 400w halogen lamps are only fairly new at least here in Australia,Mostly they are 500w, and no there not as bright as the DWEs, but they are a budget alternative.Readily available, cheap and effective anough. Ashley R
The 400w halogen lamps are only fairly new at least here in Australia,Mostly they are 500w, and no there not as bright as the DWEs, but they are a budget alternative.Readily available, cheap and effective anough. But when power is no objective you can have 6x as many QI's as proper DWE Blinders. but then again the Quality of light that comes out of a DWE is much better. so depends on what kind of budget the client is on. But whats with the 400w?? On all the packaging the 500w is also a Halogen so what the benifit of dropping the wattage down to 400? I thought thats what the point of the different wattage bulbs were for.
