PLE
We have a Rank Strand Electric 120 channel Lighset control desk and fader wing if anybody wants it. It has been languishing in our store for some years and we now need the space. The desk is, so far as we know, working and we have a number of spares should anybody be enthusiastic enough to want it as anything other than a display item. The desk has been slightly modified from the original spec. in that the two rotary master faders have been replaced with programmed faders giving fade times up to an hour. We're not looking for any payment but we would prefer the control to go to a good home. Philip L. Edwards
oilyspark
Yes - Definitely interested. It would fill a gap in the timeline of our collection of controls. I have been collecting various kinds of lighting equipment for our forthcoming electrical history exhibition which has a strong theatrical flavour. With the help of Jim Laws and many others, we have got both quite a good variety of controls from system CD through to Lightboard M, many of which are fully operational. IIRC Lightset is a few years older than me - 1966-1970ish? I have to admit I've never used one, although I did have a stint on an LP which is pretty similar but the group handling is different in some way. We're aiming to have a representative assortment of systems plugged in and working on the day, so if we were to take on the Lightset it would be with the intention of restoring it. The fact you've got some spares would be a real bonus! Lucien
