darksunproductions
I am trying to find out about training courses for gas pyrotachinics. I am interested in using gas as part of a fire show and am not sure what qualifications/certifaicates would be needed? (If any?)If anybody has any info on gas-pyro training please let me know!Cheers! kerry davies
I don't think you will find specific courses which give what you require but it might be worth contacting an expert: http://www.mtfx.com/I used to do fire theatre and used my tame gas fitter who had CORGI registration. (now Gas-Safe, www.GasSafeRegister.co.uk ) There is quite a lot to it technically and an enormous amount of H&S, environmental safety and public safety involved. Just as a guide take a look at HSG 123 and 124 on fireworks, http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/hsg123.htm Though not wholly appropriate they may help to show what they are looking for from both a professional and community standpoint. If you want pure pyro then there are courses pinned above with the estimable Lincoln P. Let me know if, when, where your show takes place and I might just turn up for a giggle.
