stories
Hi, Has anyone used "Concert Trader" www.concert-systems.com at all recently for ex-hire equipment? I'm looking at a piece of ex-hire equipment they have listed on their site, but I’m a bit suspicious having not ever used them and they apparently don't accept credit cards directly, though do via PayPal.. (seems odd for a company dealing in such high value equiptment..). Google throws up a link or two with the same or similar name going in to liquidation a while ago so wondering if they are reliable, honest and if anyone else has dealt with them at all recently? Cheers S

Simon Lewis
I have tried searching and cannot find any of the old posts. Perhaps the moderators have been asked to remove them? PM sent...

paulears
Forums are considered to be publishers, so there are a number of topics that all internet forum owners would love to cover, but the legal repercussions of publishing data that is very difficult to verify are considerable. Stan and the others are quite correct that there were topics on this very subject. The fact that these can no longer be seen cannot be commented on. This Government website is a useful tool. Entering names into it produces a list of company status. It will tell you if the company has been dissolved, and by trying alternatives of the name - and checking the registered office details, it's not too hard to put together a timeline of a companies history - seeing one dissolved, then another rising phoenix like from the ashes. Maybe the members who had personal experience of the company may wish to drop you a PM. Of course, nothing should be read in between any of the lines above. cedd
Though possibly the number of people currently typing "PM sent" would say something. PM sent.....
tolley1466
I was interested in a few of their items for sale, emailed them a couple of times but I've never had a reply. I suppose I could have rang them but if they don't have the decency to reply to my email then one wonders if they want my business.

I suppose I could have rang them but if they don't have the decency to reply to my email then one wonders if they want my business. I've had the same experiance... Also no answer on there phone number (apparently they've just moved...) got the impression they wern't intersted in selling anything....Finally had a reply from them today which, after there saying they don't accept credit card payments rang a few alarm bells and hence my post.. Out of interst can anyone elaborate on the 'scam' element..? And how on earth can the same person keep liquidating and reappearing with a differnt name? and not be covered in enough $h!* to be well know enough to stop people touching them with a barge pole? Andrew C
I think we'd better close this one before we get to "tarring and feathering" again. In answer to your last question, Google "Phoenix Trader".
