Monitor Wedges

Hi guys - need some advice on what wedges to go for. My budget is around £600 for a pair of passive wedges - will probably need to be second hand to get a good level of quality.

The absolute priority is good Gain-before-feedback on vocals so they need to be as flat response as possible. That probably rules out 15" drivers as I haven't heard one that will compare to a 12" in terms of mid range clarity.

My amps can do 400W @ 8ohm so it would be nice if they were around this ballpark so I don't need to go changing amps.

First thing that came to mind was Martin F12's but I've only ever heard them as tops and the band wasn't too great so hard to judge. Any experiences from guys here?

Couple of models I've used in the past and liked:

JBL SRX712m - Small, light and loud. Altho - very inefficient and not good value for money this side of the pond

Mackie SRM450 v1 - Doesn't sound 'nice' buts cuts through the mix like a knife! Was always amazed how much stage volume this thing could get through. Mind you, I bet the passive version doesn't sound half as good.

Anyway, look forward to some suggestions :)

Yeah, have used these a few times on smaller festival stages. Easy to work with and pleasant sounding. Yet to get any feedback from them, but with a decent graphic and time spent ringing them out, you should have a fairly fail-safe yet quality sound.
