Strand Error Codes

I have been operating on a couple of different Strand 500i series desks and have come accross a strange problem. The error log will fill and repeat the error codes:

 

Ipcdb 2530

 

Ipcdb 1889

 

Ipcdb 1824

 

Ipcdb 1304

 

Ipcdb 2530

 

But when I sync the desk's with a backup (always a 510i) the codes stop repeating and when I break sync or un-sync they do not come back. For the life of me I can’t find documentation of any of these Strand error codes, nor do they have a brief description like some of the codes do. First time I’ve seen this and have been using the desk's for 4 years. Looking through past posts it seems other people have noted that the Strand Website does not list some of the error codes, can anyone provide a complete Strand Error code list? Does it exist? Or has anyone seen this problem before?

In my previous existance, I quized the Strand R&D software engineers on several occasions about the meanings of the codes. The answer was along the lines of "they don't mean very much unless you can explain what you were trying to do at the time".

 

To my knowledge, there is no one left from the 500 software development team left at Strand.

 

So in my opinion, the probable answers to your questions would be

 

"Can anyone provide a complete Strand Error code list?" No.

 

"Does it exist?" No.

 

Or

"Has anyone seen this problem before?" Probably, but may have not associated it (as you have done) with what was going on at the time.

 

But now you've highlited the mechanism for generating errors, I'll watchout for it next time I'm playing with a networked 500 system and see if I can narrow it down to a particular cause.
