Ashley R
Hi All Just a thing that has bewildered me. I'm looking into purchasing 4 Martin RoboScan Pro 518's and the owner said they have MSD 200 Lamps in them but when I looked at the martin user manual it says MSD 250/2 as the lamp used. I know there there isent a "Mk II" Version as the user manual and the Martin website dosent say so.Not like the RoboScan Pro 218 which hasa Mk 1 and Mk 2 Versions which are very different. Is it possible to place a MSD 200 Lamp into a fixture that was designed for a MSD 250/2? I'm Just totally confused. Ash
jamblob
At some point they upgraded the fan in the 518 to allow the more powerful lamp to be used. You can tell from the serial number which you have. All the details are on the Martin website here.

Looks like I will need a higher air flow fan to upgrade these scans to accept a MSD 250/2 but I think I will keep the original 12.5deg beam angle. Less work. Does anyone know to what fan they upgraded to?
