Jerome
Hi guys, I've just had my first experience today with a strand palette II and I'm a bit confused about the pan, tilt and colour controls. Now, I set it up with one Mac 300 so I could just get used to the basic patching functions and that took a while but I eventually had it working. The problem is that I can't seem to find a way to use the wheel on the desk to set pan and tilt or wheel up through colours!? It just seems to have set degrees or percentages. Does anyone know if there is a way of just selecting pan or tilt so I can move the light using the wheel? You can open the shutter with it so I thought it was strange you couldn't alter anything else. Am I just missing something obvious? J Pearce
Select your fixtures.Hit S5 for position.Hold S2 and move the wheel for pan, hold S3 and move the wheel for tilt. You can also hold both down and use the mouse/trackpad/trackball. Hit S6 for colour, then depending on your fixture S1-4 and the wheel will adjust your colour. Hitting S6 again will switch to the other colour page. If you have colour mixing fixtures you could also hit tools then S11 (after selecting your fixtures) to bring up the colour picker. The trick to understanding the desk is that the 1-12 across the bottom of the screen line up with the buttons S1-S12.S1-S4 are used with the wheel or mouse to adjust attributes. S5-12 select attribute groups (position, colour, lens, gobo, special etc). Hope that helps! Let me know if you want anymore tips or help, I'm getting to be a bit of an expert in the ways of Palette.
