Unfathomable Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 After an extensive search, both on BR and google, I can't find an answer to this... Does the Multidim MKII have a facility to set intensity on the dimmer, rather than via a control desk? I am using one for a local event where it would be more practical and less work to do so. Would be nice to set it per channel, but an overall control would also do. Cheers Dave

springgrove Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I don't think that the Multidim can be set up in this way. You could always get something like this to control it very simply.
benweblight Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 On the MK1 there was one of the built in programs that turns all the lights on and off at once...and on full speed this meant all the lights were constantly on and you could use the chase intensity control as an overall dimmer...no way to do separate control though. No idea whether this is still true on the MK2.
AndyJones Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 They do however hold DMX, so you can plug a desk in, set your levels then unplug the desk and leave it. HTH AndyJones
Unfathomable Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 I had seen the manual, but it wasn't clear as to the uses of the preprogrammed stuff. I think a small desk will have to be the way to go, I have one anyway, just on very limited space/time at venue. Would it hold its intensity when powered down? (I doubt it would, but would be helpful )
Brian Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Would it hold its intensity when powered down? No. When you power it down all the lights go off
back_ache Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Would it hold its intensity when powered down? (I doubt it would, but would be helpful ) No,as far as I can remember with these units they don't hold the last value on DMX failure so no-DMX=no-light
