Rob Bartholomew
Could anyone recommend me a CD player which will play an individual track and cue up the next track. Nothing too expensive.ThanksRob
GaryM
In this business, expensive is a relative parameter! What's your budget? The Tascam CD-01U is a nice player with both Auto-Cue and Auto-Ready. As the name suggests, it only takes up 1u of space aswell.
Rob Bartholomew
Thanks Gary, I'd spotted that one. Stage Electrics have it on special offer at present. I'm interested to see something similar for comparison. regardsRob

weedkiller
KAM 1U unit? £139 would be as much as I would want to pay for a CD playerhttp://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR274489 WK
TomHoward
That KAM looks very similar to the Pulse CDP50, £99 (ex VAT) from CPC: http://cpc.farnell.com/pulse/cdp50/cd-play...Ntt=pulse+cdp50 Whether it does single track play I don't know, but someone might. ojc123
Pulse cdp50 from CPC has proved to work well. Only had it a few months so I can't comment on reliability. Seems to play all the home made cds the kids bring in for events. Has various settings including single track play, repeat one, repeat all and cueing. It plays mp3 cds too. It kicks in quickly even when it's been left a while. It's idiot-proof. I can even leave teachers in charge of it. The lights are uber-bright and I've had to put two layers of purple lx tape on to stop it searing my eyeball. It's just over 1U so you need to allow 2U space for it, even if you take off the rubber feet. Bit daft.
TomHoward
You might want to ask Chris about the 50mm vs 1U issue, he said something along the lines of either the DVD player or the CD player had been fixed, and the other was close to follow.
