How can this work??

Hi,

I would like to buy the numark nuvj (only one I can afford) for a few shows in the coming months and im wondering if its suitable for the following application:

 

Mixing video loops from arkaos software and having two live video feeds (FOH for close ups + Control Room, the latter showing the whole stage) and if I can switch mainly from one camera (Channel1) to another camera (Channel2) and also one feed (Channel1) and the video loops (Channel2).

 

 

What's the best way to setup the Mini DV cameras? Will nuVJ accept the 2 sources? What cables do I use to connect them to the laptop, I need them to be quite long, at least one of them ayway, around 30-50 meters or so.

 

Showing the mix on a projector and also somehow recording the mix (up to a 3-5 hour show) on an external 1TB hard drive. What options are there? (preferabbly not a DVD recorder).

 

Could the laptop im running all this from handle the load?

My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-FW21M

- Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz

- 4GB RAM

- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series
