eamon Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Hi all I am adapting a lighting plan for a show going to Toronto. I am looking for some advice on the quality of aforementioned lanterns. I have read of theand know they are old but am wondering what they are like regarding punch & optics. In this case, I am looking at the fixed be units akin to th S4 range. I know they very much US/Canadian based fixtures Has anybody used them? All opinons welcome. Many thanks eamon
Bryson Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The nearest UK equivalent would be something like a Sil 30. So, not great, but serviceable. EDIT: This may be of service in identifying the exact model. As you'll see, the "Aimslite" models actually are rebranded Sils.
eamon Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Hi Bryson. Cheers for the reference & the links. That gives me some insight into their ability Thanks again eamon
Bryson Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 IMO, Kleigl missed a trick by not releasing a fixture called the "Eagle." B-) Did you find out which ones exactly you're using? One thing to watch out for is that "Kleiglites" for a while reached ubiquitous status, so sometimes people would call something a "Kleiglite" when it was in fact another manufacturers product. Kind of like the way people use "Hoover".
