DelBoyF
Hi there, I have been asked to create a Deal or No Deal game show using Powerpoint for a charity event in my local pub. I have the laptop, powerpoint program but no idea where to start. I require it to be fully customizable ie: able to change the box values 1p - £250 for example. I have found a few sites online that have templates that aren't very good or user friendly and I'm looking for the most professional version possible. Sound effects are not required as I have all of these including a bankers offer calculator. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Del
Ynot
Not really sure that this is the right forum to ask that question.
chrismca09
I'd agree with ynot - When you start to want to change the values of each box for every single time you use that particular side, it is not going to be user friendly!! This however would be a perfect job for adobes Captivate, Not quite sure about powerpoint....
slipstream
I did this a few years ago for a client - easier just to run the PC game none of them got past the 1/2 way point - and the one that got to it insisted their answer was correct and got a redo - they were horrified that it took me 60 sec to run though the game to the same point ie 1 life left and the 50,000 question pending - pretty sure if I had been staff, I would have won a Mini Cooper that night - thickos. Thomas1987
Trying to imagine how it could be done - essentially a LOT of hyperlinks I guess. But the "map" would have to be decided before all of the linking is done. Edit: Or maybe Flash with lots of different scenes and links between? Still an utter PITA though! metheone
What ever your showing it on will hopefully have a still button Have a full board in full screen powerpoint and then put the projector on still. exit full screen and delete box, then f5 and unstill etc HTH
cedd
Would a very simple Visual Basic program do the job? Just loads of buttons coloured as required, with the correct text to give the number values. When pressed they change background and text colour to the screen background colour, or vanish completely. It's been a long time since I played with vb, but I think it's possible. Fraid I'm not the one to write it for you though!
zonino
it would be fairly easy to do using VBA scripting in powerPoint use slide 1 to set your box values, slide 2 to do the show etc
