MattF Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Hi All Forgive my lack of knowledge on this subject, however I'm trying to separate fact from rumour. We have a quantity of Tomcat trussing which is approaching five years old. It's not seen extensive use by touring standards and has been regularly inspected etc, however I was wondering about X-ray testing. Now, I've heard rumour that at some point in the life of truss it is not unheard of to conduct X-ray testing for structural integrity, however my googling has so far been fruitless. Can anyone enlighten me as to the veracity of this rumour? Or the relevence to my situation? Any information on standard procedure for truss testing will be greatfully received. Cheers
Tecnical Bradders Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Hi Try some one like pete smith inspections they may be able to shed some light on your query and would be able to test your truss etc.
MattF Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Hi Bradders Thanks for the reply, though at the moment I am still in the research stage and although talking to a service provider may be useful, I'd rather try and gather a bit more information before heading to someone who ultimately has some stake in me getting a service from them. Cheers
