Just wondering if anyone can help me source the lanterns in the below link.

 

Hook Lanterns

 

I need these bigger around 45cm.

 

Hire period is between 3rd May to 10th of May.

 

The show is “Beauty and the Beast and there to be used in the castle scenes.

Do you need them to be 45cm tall, or 45cm diameter?

Try looking in the pound shop, I have several in stock that I purchased from the pound shop, there about 45cm and they come in different colours red, black, silver, gold I think. They are very good quality to considering they were a pound. Maybe better/ cheaper that hiring them.

In that case, +1 for this idea. Have a look around shops like that, garden centres and similar. Can't say that I've ever come across places which hire lanterns like that, although I can't say that I've looked for them specifically. Worst comes to the worst and you have some nice lanterns to put in your garden for the upcoming summer!

 

Last time I was on a show that used little lanterns like that, we also put frost around the inside of the glass to diffuse the light a bit. Gave a nice effect. Thought I'd mention it!

45cm high is a pretty large lantern!

That's around 18 inches - are you sure that's the size you want?

Remember that a 45cm lantern will need a much bigger flame than the usual battery tea light!
