Zero88 Bullfrog

Hey gang!

Is there an easy way of editing programmed movers out of a cue on a Zero88 Bullfrog, or do you have to scrap the cue and do it again? The 'edit' function only seems to go up to ch99 and movers are on 100, 150, 200 etc. We have 8 in for the show just to let you know.

If anyone can help in anyway, it would be FAB

Thanks in advance.

The numbers you see on the screen shows the levels of the 96 faders. To see the fixture outputs you need to select them. Assuming you're in partial mode, to record the cue with out the fixture information, either untag the fixtures and record the cue again, or hit record and set colour, beamshape and position to "no" so that no values are tagged in the cue. Unless I have misunderstood you?

HTH :P

It's frustrating on this desk. As far as my experience has shown me, you can't edit dimmer information on a mover lower than it's been recorded in a cue. So for example, you can go from 40% up to 80%, but not from 80% to 20%, or to off.

Re-recording the cue might be the easier way, I'm afraid to say.

Edit: or if the fixtures have shutters, you could just edit the cue to close the shutter. But this may or may not work depending on if they are on in the cues immediately before and after the cue you are editing, and if you require a smooth fade in/out of those cues.

Thanks David. I done it your way in the end and it worked fine, just had to alter the dwell times and LTP fade times to make it work. BTW, pardon may ignorance, but what does LTP fad stand for on a 'frog'?

Generally (and I assume no different on a frog) LTP = Latest Takes Precedence, HTP = Highest Takes Precedence (funnily enough there's a good explanation of this in Cat + Joe's latest videos http://www.actlighting.com/consolecocktails.html)

Whilst HTP is useful for dimming generics, LTP is almost always used for any moving / colour changing fixtures (in my experience anyway, no doubt someone will appear explaining they always use HTP for movers and have a good reason - each to their own :))

Got the movers to dim on the desk today, by holding down edit button the board will actually allow the dimmer on movers to be faded. Is it me or does the bullfrog have some strange way of doing things? I like the board to use, but some of its quirks can be fustrating. Anyone agree?
