elliswasp
Hi there this is a question from a member in my band, he owns a roland xp-10 and it doesnt seem to working in the way it should. he said it seems to distort or cut out when playing chords or something. Does anyone know of a good peutable place that he could take it to get it serviced and or repaired as it is a bit of a classic synth and it would be a real shame to just scrap the thing. any help greatly appriciated. tvi675
Hi Markus and welcome to the Blue Room, Depending on where you are as your profile doesn't give a location, give Steve Charman (Gonz) a call at BCS Audio on 01329 835761. They're in Hampshire but he does a lot of synth repairs and can courier stuff if needed. Highly recommended and a great bloke! Matt
Doug Siddons
As we don't know where you are, suggest you try your local music shop who will be better placed to know of good repairers in you area. oops beaten to it!
elliswasp
Hi guys im based in high wycombe in buckinghamshire so hampsshire isnt a million miles away and as far as my music shop I would put to much faith in the to be honest they dont stock anything like that and the one decent shop that did closed a long time ago. tvi675
Worth noting not to call for Gonz until after lunch - he tends to work until the early hours of the morning so starts later to compensate! He should be able to sort you out though even if you have to courier it. Matt
charlyfarly
You could also try the Synthesiser Service Centre based in Park Royal, Acton, West London.
Bobbsy
Charlyfarly beat me to it but +1 for the Synthesiser Service Centre. A composer/musician mate of mine has a huge collection of keyboards and synths and he swears by them. Bob
Guest lightnix
You could also try the Synthesiser Service Centre based in Park Royal, Acton, West London.Charlyfarly beat me to it but +1 for the Synthesiser Service Centre...I've read some bad reports about them in other forums - a couple of years ago, it's true - but proceed with caution. Synthesizer Repair Services in Stoke-on-Trent seem to be well regarded. There's also Synth Restore in Bedford, although I know nothing of their reputation. Please let us know how you get on - I've got an XP-60 that works OK, but could probably do with an internal clean up.
