robert morley
Hi all I need a little help and I need it fast. what I need is a back projection screen 7 foot wide, it will be placed on two bits of truss on top of a stage and then the screen to come down and up when needed so one of the motorised ones on a remote would be great. I have had a quick look on google and to no avail. IT MUST BE BACK PROJECTED! Cheers Rob.

paulears
One of those occasions where a location in the profile info might help? However Google returns plenty of results for back projection screen hire - just depends where you are.

Pete McCrea
A tab tensioned electric screen is probably what your after.
AHYoung
A tab tensioned electric screen is probably what your after. what you are looking for isnt a normal item we sell such things, id recomend that you want a 2 m tab tensioned screen with a rear surface. this is a special order item and will take around 3 - 4 weeks, it also wont be cheap... with the rear screen, the tab tensioning is vital as it will just curl up at the edges as the material is thinner than the front surface. id also avoid wireless remotes and wire a length of 4 core to a remote switch as in my experience the remotes are unreliable. we also have toyed with getting such a thing for our hire stock as ive had occasion where an electric roller rear screen would be the perfect solution, but ive never found one.... cheers

Johnparrack
if times an issue, as it sounds like a theatre use, couldn't you hang it from a Lighting bar, and mark the In deads, and fly it in and out as required? a 6ft x4ft6 (or 8ft x 6ft) rear screen from the likes of harkness etc should be really easy to source quickly. just a thought, if the electric option isn't available to you.
