Illuxit
I'm currently in the marked for some LED moving lights. I had the GLP Impression on demo and found the light output to be adequte. However the static zoom lens is a drawback. Anyone here had experience with the JB series? Know of any good alternatives/contendors to the Impression? Jon T
Having used both the impression and the JB A7, I would strongly go with the A7. Its zoom is a great feature and is silent compared to the impression, I believe its a bit more in price and weight!.. another option could be the VLX from vari lite. Having just been out on a tour with 20+ of them found them to be one of the most reliable fixtures in the rig, much more in price to the impressions and A7 tho! Illuxit
Thank you.Yes, I've also looked at the vlx, but at amost twice the price it's unfortunately not an option. I am concidering the Robe 700 C/W instead witch I can get used for the same price of the Impression. But then there's the issue of space and maintenance.. Light Tricks
Hi, I could also throw the SGM Idea Moving Led 100 in to the mix, I believe the pricing is much more 'competitive' than the equivalent GLP fixture... http://www.sgmtechnologyforlighting.com/pr....asp?co_id=1584 Maria
Illuxit
Yes. This seems to be more like the GLP Volkslicht, apart from the wide angle lens. Not a bad Idea :) Just need some wash for the backdrop with moving capability, and price is of course an issue.
nateflips
A7 Zoom is a brilliant fixture. Had four on demo not so long ago and was very impressed. Just need to get the funds for some.:)
