Hi Guys

I have a an Old Neutron Star Hazer. (not the XS) sadly its being less than kind to me. for some reason I turn it on. and it begins to produce haze after about 30secs. then after an amount of time (somewhat varying between instant and and Hour) The dreaded monitor LED rapidly flashes until I turn it off and on again.

So far to overcome this I have:

Bought a new Coil. Which eliminated the coil and thermocouple plug.

Replaced the Thermocouple Socket.

Check the resistor across the blue and black line on the thermocouple.

cleaned all the circuit board with PCB cleaner. (while unplugged before anyone asks)

Checked the pump by shorting across the pump and spare pin untill I hear it trigger (but not to long so as not to blow the fuse)

Initial elation commenced after testing the hazer after these and it working. until I went to use it for a show 2 days later and after 30 mins... FLASHY FLASHY GRRRR.

SOOOO contacted Steve Lloyd at LM for advise who said it could be multiple things and to send it in. but I need it to run this weekend so slightly stuck.

Its also less than a year since it last went in for repair and had a replacement Pump. Never really worked very well since then.

Has anyone managed to beat the Flashy flashy LED. According to Steve @ LM the old Neutron doesn't do a cleaning phase on start up. (why does the Manual say it does)

Does anyone have the service manual for the Neutron Pro. (have it for the XS but this may have different voltages etc and not sure the old STAR has the different fault flashes like the XS.

ANY clever knowledge much appreciated.

Cheers

James
