dc747
hi folks Been doing lighting in Australia for 30 years. Started with sp40's. Did all sorts of boards including some esoteric computer ###### from Thorn from the late 60's. I'm not a neophyte. Operated 530's from when they were first introduced, at a high level. Started doing shows with the palette, recently upgraded with latest software, two weeks ago for the first time. First impression. The Strand boards are no longer operator's boards, they're programmer's boards. I won't start with that. There is a reason for this post. There are five operators doing the Ballet season I'm working on. I had to take over a plotting session from the one operator who used tracking. (hate it with all my soul. ###### americans.) Board was in Cue only from previous night. Loaded the tracking show. Yes, I know it was ######ed up. Reset the board to Tracking mode. Re-loaded show. Didn't work. some weird ######. Re-Booted the desk. Tracking ok. Re-loaded show. Got worse. This is where it gets interesting. Can anyone suggest why... A) The halt/back wouldn't work at all. B) Could only GOTO ie if I wanted cue 25, I had to type 24. There were other things, but that's enough to go on with. Got in contact with the australian agents this afternoon. They had no idea. Any ideas? dc747
