Zendy Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 Heya, I have been watching this company rig for the past hour and their truss line is the happiest one I've seen.Anyway, I was looking up the load calcs for Eurotruss.I found thisLoadsLength in mtr481216Distr. load in kg/mtr4601245531Deflection in mm1254128243Point Load in kg/mtr950497331249Deflection in mm1044105202 Not sure how to interpret this table.I assume this means that at 16 metres of length(using 2 points?), one can hang 31 kgs per m on the truss??? uniform load of course.I, however, am not so sure about what the POINT LOAD IN KG/MTR indicates. would this refer to the weight being put on each motor/point or if it is a third point/quarter point load type scenario. Point load should just be kg, not kg/m.You can put one point load on the span (calcs will assume centre of span as that gives the most deflection) OR the distributed load, not both. I'm not surprised, its gobbledegook.My guess: The "per meter" bit is a typo and its a centre point load (in kilos). The numbers are about right for that.
