nick123
Now overhauling the village hall fixtures, I found there are a mixture of T28 and the old T1 lamps, the latter in particular which may be on borrowed time. I want to get a few halogen spares, and a T17 and T28 seem identical, same P28S base, same power, same price even, and just wondered if there is a difference? Brian
T28, according to GE, gives out 11k lumens and lasts 300 hours. T17 is 9500 lumens and lasts 750 hours.

boatman
Also, the T17 only has a colour temperature of 2950°K whereas the T28 is 3000°K. It doesn't sound like a lot but you will notice the difference. Here's a link for the GE Stage/Studio Catalogue. It's a very handy reference.
