AndyJones
Hello all, Does any one know if any companys make Black flash paper? The only people I can find online do it in really small sizes. I need at least A4 size sheets. Many thanks, Andy Jones
danjshelton
Hi Andy, I presume that you mean tha paper has to be black in colour? If not then Le Maitre do 2 sizes of there flash paper (8inch x 9inch and 17inch x 9inch), should be available from your friendly local hire company. Cheers Dan Edit: Follow the link and click on "Product Codes" to get to the sizes/descriptions
AndyJones
Paper needs to be black I'm afraid! Many thanks for your quick response though! Andy Jones
Brian
You could always laser print a solid black onto some white flash paper.
boswell
I'm probably totally wrong, but wouldnt the heat from the fuser drum be a bit dodgy, I don't know what temperature flash paper self ignites at.Also, isn't flash paper meant to be kept damp until use? As I say, I have probably got it all wrong, ignore me
Brian
With a little care (and using someone else's laser printer!) it is quite possible to print on flash paper. And yes, flash paper is shipped wet but still has to be dry before use. Hmmm, I wonder if it will take a water based dye or even tone it with some toner from a laser printer or photocopier cartridge/refill?
Jivemaster
Flash paper comes damp in sachets. Can you add some Dylon fabric dye, or some fountain pen ink, or some printer ink to the dampness as it dries. Making it will be MESSY whatever! Otherwise try black tissue paper over the flash paper. Added;Get a black printer ink refil kit, use the enclosed syringe to inject the ik into the sachet, then wait, open it and dry it .
