Jayke93
Hi,sorry, this is quite random.would the past tense of board op be board opped?
MarkPAman
I'd have thought board op is a noun, so would not have a past tense :P
J Pearce
One could "board op", one could have "board op'ed". One could also be a bored op, but thats another matter...
Parser
One can be a board op, or one can have operated a board. Generally speaking, if you are writing a cv, id suggest that that you write I operated the lighting desk for.....
Just Some Bloke
... or just "I was board op"
Bryson
Op is short for Operator. So you Operated. So technically, I guess you could say you Board Op'd.

karl
Op is short for Operator. So you Operated. So technically, I guess you could say you Board Op'd.You could say you were a 'board operator' which is a noun and wouldn't change to denote past tense. Saying that you 'board operate' doesn't sound right (verb should be before the object) so I wouldn't have thought Board Op'd is dubious. ;) I'd have said you were, are, will be a "board op" or you "have op'(e)d a board", "are op'ing a board", "will op a board" (not to be confused with "will 'op aboard". gareth
Oh, FFS ... You're a lighting operator. You operate (or operated, in past tense) the lighting. There, will that do?
