meliorproductions
Dear all, We are a small school production company who are 2 weeks away from putting on 'We Will Rock You' and our lighting designer has unfortunately been forced to to do stupid amounts of hours at his work (200 miles away from us) so will not be able to help us out with this show. I know NOTHING about lights and have even bought LED lights and Intelligent lights. We are a completely non-profit organisation so we do not have masses of money to pay people. I am hoping (it being children in need and all) that someone will read this who might be able to help us out? We are based in North Lincolnshire and have a tech rehearsal on the 6th December. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who might be able to help us out. The show needs rigging, programming and recording into the lighting desk (and then I need to be shown how to work the show from the board!) Obviously - there will be money from the box office - so I might be able to sort some money out after the run. Many thanks (and lots of crossed fingers!) Melior Productions. paulears
Moderation: I've edited the title for you so people know what the post is about. There may well be people locally - but you didn't say where you are. I may be wrong (please tell me if I am) but you could well be Melior Community College - who are a school in Scunthorpe. We have many people who might if they're free fancy a go at this, but we do need information on what is actually going on, where it's staged, what the available kit is, and confirmation that at least expenses will be met. Having done things for schools myself, with the promise of expenses, the 300 miles travelled for the project didn't quite equal the twenty quid they gave me! Post a bit more info and I'm sure somebody will want to help if they can.PaulMods

We are a School in Scunthorpe who are putting on We Will Rock You on the 8th / 9th / 10th December and we are looking for a LD to assist us. We have the following set up: 24 Channel Lighting Desk (but it has 24 channels to control two LED's and 2 Intelligents) The rest of the Lighting rig is made up of Parcans, Fresnels and Spots (27 Plug sockets - but we have ACT6 Digital Patches where 48 lights are able to be inserted and controlled) We have two Scaffolding towers (which I am hoping that our mini parcans can go on as all our lighting rig is above the audience - nothing over the stage) and an excellent Tottenham Court Tube Station for Act 1 We are also going to be running two projectors (one each side of the stage) which will show Flash animated videos (very high Spec) through the majority of the show. I am open to offers and would be willing to talk about payment. The majority of our money comes from the box office and tickets have been on sale for a week. I am unsure as to what else to put as I am not lighting minded in the slightest (as much as I try!) Thanks,
