bonzodog99
Having recently bought a range of DMX lights and controller, I am now in the process of putting some lighting 'scenes' togther for the songs I perform. The controller will be operated offstage by someone else. This may be a stupid question, but is there anyway of connecting a light into the loop that does not have a DMX connection on. Basically I have a KAM mandarin dragon which is a great light as it can literally fill a large room with colour, but it has no DMX connection. All I want to be able to do is in some scenes have it come on and go off. The only other option is to have it on a separate IEC controller which means pressing two buttons at the same time when the scene comes up, I want that light in.Any thoughts? Aaron-Hill07
You cannot control lights such as the KAM Mandarin Dragon from a DMX desk if it has no DMX connections unfortuently. You will have to run it via a seperate controller! HTH
Jivemaster
http://www.milinst.com/DMX/dmxtext.htm Has lots of interface boards including a single channel relay board, Have you the skill to make a useable switch pack to allow one DMX channel to switch your device on and off? KevinE
You can run it off a single channel DMX switch pack, just connect it in line with the mains lead and connect the DMX line to the pack.
