Steve1812
Hi, I own a BeyerDT100 headphone set - 400 ohm. The right hand speaker has failed and I need to replace it. The obvious spares people all cost the speaker AND its plate at about £30 - new phones are only around the £100.So, any help with this spare - indeed all I really need is a speaker or an equivalent sounder that would fit at 400 ohms?Any one with a working single speaker from a Beyer Dt100 headphone that would sell it on? Any advice or bargain source, gratefully taken. Steve1812
ChrisD
I get all my replacement DT100 parts from Canford, however, £30 sounds pretty reasonable... Perhaps try on eBay for another broken pair for £30, then you'll have a whole host of other spares too. Good luck!
boatman
Is a very old (20 years!) set of DT109 any good to you? If so they are yours for the cost of the postage. Sorry there's no cable. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-5/1185528/DT109.jpg

Rob_Beech
You have to remember that in a pair of headphones, there are quite a few different little parts, but the 2 main bits are the drivers. 60% of new cost for replacing the pair of the main components within a system doesn't sound too bad. Afterall, if you have a speaker with a 12 and a 1 in it, the chances are the 2 drivers are going to make up for a good percentage of the cabinet cost. Steve1812
Understood about the value of the drivers/speakers - cant blame a chap for trying to get a bargain though. Cheers, Steve1812
