cfmonk
Hi guys, I have been asked to get some quotes together for a show in Brixton academy (dates as yet unknown usefully). I have approached HALO who usually do our stuff in there but I would like to get another quote. It's a big job and so I need some recommendations. Any ideas? tokm
Hi Chris, Are you looking for design and supply with/without crew or just someone to provide the gear? T
cfmonk
It's a pre-designed rig specified by the artist but it would need to be installed and I would need crew and operators for the night. Chris
niclights
I recommend HSL. They're supplying me a reasonably challenging rig at Brixton next week. Excellent, friendly service with top quality crew. Speak to Mike Oates.

LXbydesign
Another vote for HSL or Neg. Both companies are fantastic in kit / prep etc and of course you also get first class support and backup Ben , ive heard of your company and know Liphook very well and im sure your great , but with respect, I guess you would be subbing a lot of kit in anyway for jobs this size - which kinda defeats the object of a 'one-stop shop' which is what you'd get from HSL and the like!! J Pearce
I've done some followspotting work for 10outof10 at the Brixton Academy. They're a good bunch of guys with good quality kit.

tokm
A note to all recommending companies. This by far isn't just an LX job, having read the spec there is quite a lot of video/LED wall type gear required that has to be quite close the artists spec with little variation. Put it this way, its not just a Hippo with screens and the bits in between!.. Its almost to the point that only the likes of XL Video similar would be able to cover it. The LX should be relatively easy for good lighting company to supply though. Not trying to stifle competition, just giving people a heads up so they can perhaps offer more suitable companies  T
david.elsbury
Tokm, are you and Cfmonk working on this job together? Perhaps you could (both?) have specified that from the start, so that people don't waste their time suggesting companies that may not actually be suitable... tokm
Tokm, are you and Cfmonk working on this job together? No, I asked to see the spec with a view of perhaps tendering a quote. In the spirit of good BR etiquette and especially as I've not decided yet weather to put a quote in, I thought it prudent to warn people what to expect whilst not wishing to reveal too much detail as its up to Chris who he wants to see the spec/offer the chance to quote to. I'm confidant at least two of the companies offered could supply the entire package (or something suitable) from in-house stock and the other companies might have perfectly suitable contacts that would allow them to cover any parts of the job they couldn't, thus allowing them to still put a quote in for the entire job as themselves. Hope this clears things up  T
