Nick LX
On dimmers such as Avolites Art2000 touring dimmers, if you hot patch a channel to mains voltage, like an HMI lamp, can you control it via DMX, or only the breakers on the front of the dimmer? Cheers
dunk_1984
If you're patching a hot power module, it is just that, a power distro unit. Not a switch pack.
Glyn Edwards
On dimmers such as Avolites Art2000 touring dimmers, if you hot patch a channel to mains voltage, like an HMI lamp, can you control it via DMX, or only the breakers on the front of the dimmer? Cheers That depends on which power module you're using, if its a hard power module then no, they are just a mains distro unit with 12 MCBs on the front. If you have a contactor module (which are apparently comparatively rare) then yes, you can use DMX to control the state of the relay. It is also possible to use the contactors as "straight" power distribution, by setting the channel to DMX 000 and the curve to "On<50%" Hope this helps Glyn
