hexdiy
Hello out there,I'm new to this forum and suspect most of you hate ADB. Working in Belgium, however, means ADB gear is what I have to deal with the most. The local BASTT forum not being too lively or helpful, I decided to join yours with the following question: DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SERVICE MANUAL OR SCHEMATICS FOR THE ADB TENOR he/she wants to share? I have stumbled on a wrecked Tenor which I would like to repair in order to be able to take my own console on tour. Would save me about an hour each day... Thanks in advance! LBLight
Hi BartIf you are in Vlaanderen, then you are not very far from ADB. As you may know Belgium is not that large :-) Sorry the 1st of November was a holiday and a Sunday, so maybe you did not reach anybody here. Give ADB a call for information, or you can contact me. William Gray of our SAV departmnet should be able to help you with information and if you need any support, can also help you to repair the TENOR (against a small fee). If you send me your email address or other form to contact you, we will contact you with the reqwuestted information. Or you may want to visit ADB - in Zavenem on the Leuvensesteenweg 585. Pattern123
I absolutely love ADB product, unfortunately they just do not seem to be able to effectively penetrate the UK market, mainly due to piss-poor choice of distributors. This makes it extremely difficult to buy their product at a competitive rate. Their lanterns are streets ahead of anything on offer from Strand or Selecon (Sorry, Philips), the only effective competition left in the UK are CCT, other than that it's ETC. All of these, even CCT, are easier and cheaper to buy. Even AC don't show pricing for ADB on their website - that's how crap their distribution is in the UK. I'm sure LSI buy an awful lot of their product, but to use them as the UK distribution just doesn't work. PLEASE somebody from ADB take note - stop using a middleman and sell direct to UK resellers and you will do a lot better, had you done that when Strand went phut, you would have a much stronger market share already. If you don't allow resellers to make a decent margin and price competitively, they won't bother selling your product, it's not rocket science. TomyN
Hi, well I purchased an used ADB Tenor via e-bay, and now I've fallen in love with this unit. After the purchase I needed to repair the monitor. Because the mother board shows a lot of informations, and to be able to react quickly if the unit fails on the road, I asked ADB for the service manual. But they stated that the service manual is available only for people who have visited a service training related to the Tenor. But there are no more trainings for the Tenor :-( So it would be great if anybody can help me with the schematic and/or the service manual. Regards Tomy
