robowen3926
HI EVERYONE, JUST NEED A BIT OF ADVISE. I HAVE A DYNACORD POWERMATE 1000 MK2 4 OHM OUTPUT AND A PAIR OF EV ZX-5'S 8 OHM(PASSIVE), I HAVE JUST BOUGHT AN LD SYSTEMS PA1600X POWER AMP TO GIVE ME 700W A SIDE @ 4 OHM (I THINK)AND I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE A CONNECTING LEAD FROM MY MIXER TO MY AMP. I AM CURRENTLY USING LEFT & RIGHT MONO JACKS FROM EQ OUTS TO BALANCED XLR TO MY AMP CHANNEL A & CHANNEL B, SHOULD MY JACKS BE STEREO AND HOW SHOULD MY XLR'S BE WIRED BECAUSE I AM GONIG FROM MONO OUT TO BALANCED IN. STARTING TO GET CONFUSED IF ANYONE CAN HELP BECAUSE MY MANUAL DOES NOT SAY TOO MUCH ON THIS SUBJECT. THANKS ROB
jason.fallon
Should be stereo to keep everything balanced. I assume its XLR in on the amp. Then you'll need to either buy or make 2 XLR (Male) - Stereo Jack Cables. See wiring Diagram here http://www.soundandmusicco.com/cable_wiring.htm Or you could just buy it off any Audio Supplier. Personally I'd be going out of the Main Outputs but its much of a muchness. See (off topic) its a handy thing with those dynacord desks to run the aux through the internal graphic and then out of it into an amp and you then have a monitor graphic Also. If your willing to settle with a mono system then you can end up with both FOH and monitor graphics by paralleling the inputs on your amp. Anyway ignore that last thing if its no use to you, just thought id share. J
