milessound
Looking for a sound card which will give me good sound definition on playback and software synethesis. mainly using reason, and absynth. With at least 2 good quality outputs and 1 input would be nice. any ideas?

paulears
The Lexicon range have impressed me. I'm moving away from internal soundcards and after trying a few that were fine, rather like the Lexicons, mainly because the pre-amps are nice and quiet. Absynth, has lots of activity at the top end on some presets, and sounds fine - compared to the really expensive Soundscape system I'm running on the studio machine. I have no problems using a lap top to the lexicon, in comparison to the rack mount stuff in the studio - my ears struggle to hear a difference. I've got an Omega - mainly for input flexibility, but that may have features you don't need?
