back_ache
I've been to a couple of gigs recent that used a hand-percussion instrument called a Cajón, despite the player breaking a sweat doing all kinds of interesting techniques it just sounded like a kick-drum solo because the only mic was aimed at the bass hole. It got me thinking, should we write up unusual instruments in the wiki so if we know before a gig we will be dealing with something we haven't come across before we can look up how to mic it. I have created article to get the ball rolling (and avoided recommending particular mic's on purpose) based on an earlier discussion of the instrument. what do we think, should we write up the weird and wonderful? http://www.blue-room.org.uk/wiki/Cajónhttp://www.blue-room.org.uk/index.php?show...rt=#entry237273
