karl
Does anybody know if Chroma-Q Broadway scrollers fit Strand Quartet lanterns? The Chroma-Q documentation says the plate is 158mm and the Quartet gel frames are apparently 150mm which suggests that the scroller won't fit. However a couple of websites seem to suggest that the Broadway can be used with Quartets. There is even a reference in another thread Colour Changers which implies they fit. If anybody knows for certain one way or the other I'd be glad to know.
Neil Hampson
The back plates are designed to be interchangeable with other sizes, the 158mm backplate is, however the one that is supplied with the fixture new (Fixed S4 size) check with someone like AC that 150mm backplates are available from stock. I imagine that the 4 studs that the backplate sits on will not foul anything as you aren't going much smaller. As a rough and ready measure, if you have some of the more substansial metal gel frames you can drill the four holes in the corners and use it as the back plate. The added advantage of this is you can have a piece of heat shield permanently attached to the scroller in the gel frame.
