hanpeel
Hi I have a hammond e111. It needs some light work doing to it. (volume pedal, some effects) I am moving house and downsizing so would like someone to have it, either to fix up or to use for spare parts. It will end up being taken to the dump if no-one wants it...which is a terrible thought. Anyone interested or does anyone know any persons/companies that would need one for spare parts? It is in South Yorkshire currently. Thank you.

greenalien
Why not put it on Ebay, it might be worth more than you think! If you start it at 99p, it won't cost much to list it; make it clear that the buyer has to collect it though!
bruce
Seconded - stick it on Ebay - either as a whole or in parts. There are some (US-based) sellers there who are asking around 250 dollars for components (valves/tubes).
i_hate_fisicks
Swain Electronics Services in Chesterfield might well take it off your hands for parts and stuff. But yes, also worth putting it on ebay.
Rob_Beech
Very very very tempting. I'll have a think.
KevinS
Agreed - Ebay is the place. There is quite an active digital organ constructing community always scouring Ebay for old analogue electronic organs to MIDI-fy or plunder for components - in your case the two 5-octave manuals (keyboards) and the extended (25+ notes at a guess) pedalbaord will be very attractive. Just google "Hauptwerk" to get a flavour. Seems a shame to see it broken up though. K
mervaka
there's been loads of hammond organs in the local paper free to collect recently. what gives? :s
Funkster
Whatever you do, don't junk it! There'll always be a home for it somewhere (I may know of one, will ask around). The all-transistor ones find their way to the landfill fairly often, but it's a real shame when a tonewheel one goes that way. Especially when it's a 61-key job - the E series can be made to sound identical (excluding the pedals) to a B/C3/A100 with only a few choice mods. Hope it finds a good home!--Olly
MrBoomal
when I looked at your photo I was met with an advert telling me to "surprise her with a bigger penis". That wasn't the organ I was expecting ! ;)
KevinS
Hadn't appreciated that this was a tonewheel Hammond. Definitely don't junk it - there is a market for this, especially as its faults as you describe them are only in the ancilliary areas and not the tone generation parts. Have a look on Ebay and see what other tonewheel models fetch - unfortunately there is a stronger market for this particular style in the US where they are used in churches.
