Guest
I've got an Extron SW4 VGA and the output has shifted across the screen to leave a blank strip. Is there some way of adjusting this internally? or is it just brokenthanks
ian@prl
Sounds like the computer is running at a higher resolution than the display device can handle, suggest dropping res of computer.
Guest
its only running at 1024x768 which is not that high at all.it should be able to handle it
grizzly
I'd suggest it's an issue with the display device, rather than the Extron switcher. Have a go at doing an auto adjustment (or whatever your particular device calls it).Should be somewhere in the menus, and possibly as a button on the remote as well. Johnparrack
Most computers at the same resolution (640/480,800x600,1024x768,1280x1024 etc etc etc) will vary slightly because their H/Frequency is very slightly different, which means that their start point in ms is very slightly different! (if viewed on a scope).if you remember "timing in " video based systems of the past, it is no different with data/high res systems now! With a switcher such as the extron you mention, try to ensure that all pcs are running at the same Resolution and also the same refresh rate, this will minimise any major shifts, as internally you have no correction (its usually found on pc interfaces if you use them! (all inline/extron models I know of))If your display device has the facility, try to save one or two memories with the machines you are using on show days. hth a little regardsjp
