jot100 Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 I need to buy a load of silver stars that can be suspended from the grid for a Disney spectacular (dont ask!!!) Is there a company that do this sort of thing to save me from trapesing round party hire shops or craft shops? Cheers guys n girls
the kid Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 What type of stars are you talking about?Paper?Card?Plastic?Palm size?Bigger than?Smaller than?Or have I got the Wrong end of the stick?
jot100 Posted June 7, 2004 Author Posted June 7, 2004 Doesnt really matter card, paper or plastic and a variety of sizes would be great as Im feeling all creative haha!
the kid Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004  Well try a card or party shop for card ones. Plastic would involve buying sheets and painting and cutting and work. Card ones you could paint and cut. Paper actuall wouldn't work it would warp. Or if you are feeling like fiddly things get big glitter bits 1st finger size ish and glue wire to the back of that.
jot100 Posted June 7, 2004 Author Posted June 7, 2004 Had considered all that but to save time wanted to know if there is a company that do them in bulk order. I was thinking a company that sell those "tinsel" curtains you have for caberet shows but dont know any names.
peter Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 We made silver stars using silver foil and cotten. Cut the foil into small squares, feed the cotten through the foil on a needle and then scrunch the foil into loose balls. Suspended from the grid, they look like twinkling stars as the movement on stage is enough to rotate them slowly. Crosslight them for added effect.
Ike Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 if you want them stamping out of card a local printers might be able to help
