Multi-meter
Afternoon I know this isn't exactly a rigging question but those who read this area may have had simalar problems. Can any one suggest a method to remove the metal case left over in the wall once you have removed a Rawl Bolt completly? I understand these are designed not to be removed but has anyone been successful in doing so? I have a large number in a small area and just covering them would restrict what I can attach to the wall in the future. I would prefer to be able to fill the empty holes giving a clean surface to start again.I've read many a web site with answers of "Hit the end nut hard driving the case further into the wall" or "Cover with a wooden sheet". Someone must have been able to completly remove all - if not there could be a lot of empty bolt cases in walls through the theatre world. Thanks for reading. I look forward to peoples suggestions. themadhippy
Pair of long nose pliers in the hole, open them up and pull the case out.
niclights
I've always found that if you screw a bolt in loosely and tap gently they just fall out.
Brian
I've always found that if you screw a bolt in loosely and tap gently they just fall out.And to stop the 'fixed' part disappearing further into the wall - jam an old screwdriver against it.
