djsteviec Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Does anye know where, or when there are any Soundweb courses run in the UK? Is it only BSS that do the training? or are there other cmpanies that offer it. have a projectcoming up soon, only in a club, but I need to be able to use the soundweb programme to reset the system. I am fixing a lot of the kit so the volumes and EQs need to be configured but I am stuck trying to find someone that offers the course. oh... the soundweb unit that they have is a 9088ii. Thanks.Steve.
J Pearce Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 In my adventures with soundweb at uni I found it fairly intuitive. The BSS interactive tutorials answered anything I didn't know and couldn't guess. Download the editor and have a play, it really isn't too hard.
Peter Chivers Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 One tip from me, you will need to already have the configuration file for the soundweb you need to alter - Neither I nor the other company in Blackpool that I took advise from, have found a way to read the configuration from the soundweb back into soundweb designer.Peter

You can only load to it. (AP Audio by any chance?)As the other guys have said, it is a fairly simple program to use. The most difficult thing to do in my opinion is programming the Jellyfish controller. Its just a rather fiddly process.
waster Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Harmon run training on it at their headquaters in London. Its free and they take you to for lunch as well. There was crocodile on the menu last time I was there! Most importantly it is a very good course. Gerome and Sam have got a good setup and present the information well.
djsteviec Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Thank you everyone. I contacted them and Im going on the course the second wednesday in March. Thanks guys.
Peter Chivers Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 the other company in BlackpoolPeter (AP Audio by any chance?) Yes :) Peter
