Alex222
Hi. Had a look on the search here but didn't find anything of use. What I need is a 20m VGA (male) to BNC (male) cable. or 30m if not much of a price change . Anyone got an idea where I can get one from? google is not my friend, it only has VGA to VGA Thanks. EDIT: I am in the UK, as I have only been able to find US wedsites with them on

MATTJSTMARYS
Hi, could you not use a 30m M-F VGA together with a VGA to BNC to create a cable to your requirements Matt
Alex222
Hi,could you not use a 30m M-F VGA together with a VGA to BNC to create a cable to your requirements MattThanks, That is a possibility if I can't get it all in one. I am trying to reduce the ammount of connections that the cable is going through, as it will be going over a long distance via BNC before it gets to the cable I am looking for at the moment. Pete McCrea
Can I ask what your trying to do, as they may be a better way to solve the problem. If your stead fast on a 30m BNC to VGA, then maybe getting VDC to make one up would be the best bet. Personally I'd be buying 30m of VGA, and then a 1m VGA to BNC. Also bear in mind that if your running VGA signals over 30m plus, then you'll probably need to apply some sort of line driving and equalisation to the signal. eviljohn2
As others have said, I'd be running a longer VGA and short VGA-BNC cable (or possibly a short VGA-BNC and long 5wire) as it makes repairs to what is definitely a fragile assembly much friendlier and available off the shelf. VGA down a Cat5 balun might also be a good option. ;)
Nick Mawer
Hi here you can find specs of 20 and 30m HD-15 to 5 BNC cables (lengths are right at the bottom of the page) http://www.kramerelectronics.co.uk/cables/item.asp?desc=
Alex222
Hi, thanks for the replies. After looking into buying the cable and the price of it!!, I have decided to hire it and managed to find a cheap enough week rate for it to make the hire cheaper then buying it. ;) Alex.
