Juliette Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I'm Production Manager and Stage Manager for a student production of Sam Shepard's Buried Child next week. One of the key props is corn (as in corn on the cob) but it needs to be in husks, some of which must be removed each night. We absolutely can't get hold of fresh corn with husks, as it's the wrong time of year, any ideas as to how we could simply and cheaply make husks for the corn (which we can get, just without husks). Thanks
oli Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 papier mache or similar would give you the shape and strength!! Make 4 leaves (I assume there are 4 and they are called leaves) and bind them into the sahpe you require with some thin wire...maybe leave the bottom of each leaf slightly thinner so it breaks easier! Just my 2p ;)
