isquint
Just received an email from ETC that they are heading into the LED lighting market with the purchase of Selador Lighting products. ETC will be distributing the new product line as the Selador Series by ETC. You can read more about it on ETC site, www.etcconnect.com. My questions is, when are they going to get into the Digital Media ligting world like Martin and Robo. Only time will tell!
Trunker
Not soon. It is a specialised market and very few places can afford that sort of money to be spent on 1 piece of kit. When the costs come down everyone will jump on the band wagon and DJ's will be using £600 unit by showtec to project karaoke lyrics on the walls of pubs instead of having TVs. 4-6years perhaps? isquint
n00b time.... what's Digital MEdia Lighting??? When I mentioned Digital Media, these are what I meant. Here are a couple of links to some manufacturers that already make a digital media light. I would guess that the kids in Middleton (ETC) are hard at work on something like this deep with in the basement of their new building. But this is just a guess! http://www.highend.com/products/digital_lighting/dl_3.asp http://www.robe.cz/default.aspx?contentid=...b2-3e356457ee73
sirrus
Well, since the only moving light that ETC have produced is a scroller with a Source 4 and an automated yoke... (and optional extras obiously) I'd be intereted to see what design ETC come up with... Source 4 meets LED maybe? - and maybe a line of LED source 4's in the pipeline after? Just a ninja rant :D
deranged-angel
I've just spoken to ETC about this range. The Vivid unit will be availble from about July and the Lustr and the Paletta from later in the year.Damn, it would have been perfect for a project I'm working on. Em.
