Bryson
Approximately 2.5 seconds on Google gives me: http://www.tallescope.co.uk/specs.htm Platform Capacity 115KG on all models. That's a touch over 18 stone. You're good to go. I can testify from experience, though, that the larger gentleman will have to tolerate a greater amount of "sway" - so I hope you have your sea-legs... themadhippy
Is it not on the saftey instructions stuck on the side of the scope?
adam2
Remember that the safe working load is the maximum TOTAL load that can be safely carried, not just the weight of the person! Dont forget to allow for the weight of tools, lanterns, spares, even overalls and work boots can add a few kilos. If the SWL of the appliance is 18 stonne, the venue may have imposed a lower limit of 16 stonne in order to allow a lantern or tool box to be taken up in addition.
