.Justin,
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get Announcements from? Like Mobiles phone soff, please take your seats etc. We don't really have a PA system in the box and is a lot of hassle going up and down stairs to get to a Mic etc so I was wondering if anyone knew where to get some

Hook a lappy into the rec out of the mixer and Robert's your Father's Brother.Just need to find someone with a good 'announcement' voice :D
gareth
What he said. Record your own. It's very easy, and you can customise the announcements to your venue.
dbuckley
I found a set of announcments intended for home theatre users recorded using a great american "beefy" voice. Lots of short phrases and words one can assemble. I've used them a couple of times. But mostly, I get someone associated with the production with a reasonable voice to do them for me, takes five minutes.
Just Some Bloke
... is a lot of hassle going up and down stairs to get to a Mic etc Well you only need to get the mic once. Use it to make a recording, put it back and that's it - job done. Ask the drama teacher to be the voice - they'll love it!
