sus.lighting
Hi thanks for the help with the programming moving heads info BUT Does anyone know where I would get a Strand 300series graphics card to run another screen and how much it would roughly cost?? Thanks (Situated in Northern Ireland)

henny
has the 300 got a network card? if so it would be easyer to get hold of a usb desginers remote and view the extra screens on a laptop display

This then turns the laptop into a designers remote alowing you to look at as many screens as you like and also edit the show remotely!.

"You need the Strand Designer's Remote USB dongle in the laptop for that to work. I think you also need Networker software on the Strand 300 IIRC. Might be other bits as well..."So apologies to Henny - I mis-spoke there...! :** laughs out loud **:
simschr
I think you also need Networker software on the Strand 300 IIRC. Might be other bits as well..." On the topic of Networker on the Strand 300 series, I have a 600/400 version of the console and can't work out how to turn Networker on? I have tried under Report>Advanced Setup>Console Setup and can see the Network config in the top right hand corner of the screen highlighted yellow not allowing me to turn it on. I definitely have the Networker Software as it says so under the report screen, and I even have a network card in the PCI slot. Any ideas? Alex222
Hi. I have also been looking into this recently, what you need is a Half size PCI graphic card, also called Low Profile Graphics Card. I figured this out by first finding relevant information from a website that I can't remember for the life of me and then before jumping in at the deep end and buying a Half size graphics card that might not of worked.... I opened up the 300 and striped beck the case to try this out, I then removed one of my (3) full size graphics cards from my desktop computer and installed it into the 300 plugged in a screen and restarted it, and after telling the strand 300 what to put on the other screen it worked!. So from that I came to the conclusion that a Half size card will work, I am now on the hunt for a bog standard on as the 300 won't be outputting any spectacular graphics any time soon. Price wise under £50Hope this helps. :** laughs out loud **: (I will update when I have found a graphics card)Alex.
jonathanhill
You could try White Light (www.whitelight.ltd.uk) who may have some spares.

Chris "I definitely have the Networker Software as it says so under the report screen"This is only telling you that your console has a "Networker" password...ie its allowed to use networker.(Its not saying the software is present). The network config showing yellow in the console setup is saying that network features are not available either because of no network password AND/OR that the networker files are all or partly missing. The console operating system is loaded from 3 disks. 1/Genius pro, 2/network utilities, and 3/help files. If the console has had its software reloaded at some stage and the network utilities disk was not loaded you would get the problem you have (assuming, as you say, the console has a network password). Download the network utiliities ( http://www.strandlighting.com/clientupload...orker286_CN.zip), unzip to a disk and install. This will put the networker files on the console and /or correct any missing files. The network config should now be available and be able to be set. If you have any problems in finding the files or in how to load just shout.Note: Before you do this ensure your console is running version 2.8.6 (watch blue boot screen as console starts). If not download and install (http://www.strandlighting.com/clientupload...W_v2.8.6_C3.zipAlso, as always, backup any show files before updating.... Hi, The Saphire HD 4350 graphics card is a dual head card, but the way its constructed means that the actual card is half height, and changing the rear plates gives you either one or two outputs on half height plates (the DVI connector is on the main board, the second VGA connector is on a ribbon cable so can be removedr completely...) I've got to take photos of my onw later to put it on fleabay, so can put images up later if its of any use... Sam
