jackblakemore
Hi Can anyone reccomend where I can buy a harness, helmet, lanyards etc from without being ripped off? Maybe somewhere that sells them at trade price, preferably in midlands or London area, or online.Any help would be appreciated. ThanksJack

Seano
Shop around, don't just look at websites either but make a few phonecalls too.More suggestions to add to the above: UK RiggingTag Safety (Especially if you want to check out a range of harnesses other than Petzl)Caving Supplies - Not a great website, but a brilliant little shop - definitely worth a visit or a phonecall rather than just looking online. danjshelton
Although it will sound strange (or maybe not!) one of the cheapest places we have found is AC Lighting (or Entertainment Technology as there now known), some of that may be because of the discount the company gets, but they may just have good prices, especially on Petzl equipment. Also worth trying is Lyon (Haven't got time to put link up now, by google will find it), although I have a feeling that they only deal to trade and not indivduals, it might be worth finding a friend who works for a company in the industry you know well. Might also be worth a look at LTM, although based in the Liverpool area they definatly post out. Hope some of this helps. Cheers Dan

I was in Buxton a couple of months back, happened to pop into Caving Supplies and was amazed by the customer service, the stock and the general knowledge. Think they are cheaper than Flints (well the postage is gonna be less...) and stock levels are better.
