adamburns
I am looking for old car seats, ideally the double sort they had back in the fifties for an upcoming production. Has anyone got one or something like(we can pay) or got any ideas where I could get one. I'm trying to avoid the scrapyard route or having to recover a more modern seat. Thanks
drsound
Why not pick up a copy of Practical Classics or something like that and have a browse through the classified ads, either for seats or for someone breaking a car for spares? You might have to pay a fair amount for them but they can always be sold back through the same route once you're finished with them. The chances of finding a 50s motor with a good interior in the scrappie are very unlikely indeed, there's a strong second-hand market for bits like these. Ben
ebay often has things like this come up, when I used to restore old cars it was normally my first port of call Ben

Stuart Basson
Would a leather-covered back seat of almost any car (provided they're not split for configuration options) not be suitable? I see your aversion to scrapyards but a walk round a local scrappie would strike me as the easiest option.
Aaron-Hill07
I'd suggest going to a scrappers, look through some of the stuff there and I'm sure you'll find something for a small fee.
swax
Although it pains me to say it, try Themetraders: Themetraders
shaune71
You could just get two seats matching each other and get some material to cover them! You can pretty get some cheap seats from a scrappie then you can make them look how you wish!
