Swizzuk
Hi All, I had posted on the Zero 88 forums looking for a way to send a midi signal to the Jester to activate a 'go' on the cues. Seems at the moment the Jester cannot do this, will only accept control to auxiliaries and submasters. However, Zero88 have said that should enough people be interested in this function, it will be pushed forward to the feature requests and be implemented in future OS updates. Would this be useful to people using Jesters at the moment? If there is a large amount of people interested, should we start a poll and is there a Zero88 rep on the forum? dbuckley
I would urge you to continue this discussion on the Zero 88 forum (here) where we can fully track peoples interest. Peter, I get the impression that Z88 MIDI support isn't any better now than it is in my XL desk which is yonkets old. Hasn't it occured to anyone in Z88 that a really decent MIDI implementation might be a good idea, and a selling point of your kit?
Graham NZ
Hi David Yes it has and we do have a much broader use of MIDI in the Leap Frogs and the Frog 2. In many cases we are trying to make calls on what the average user of a product will want. Given the price point of Jester and the market we have set out to target with it we felt that a full MIDI implementation would not be necessary. As with all software things we are however open to making changes based on user feedback. Feel free to join the debate on the Jester forum as per Peter's link.
