ChazHS
Anyone used these? And if so whats your opinion of it? How do the faders feel, hows the sound quality etc?
Pete Alcock
Chaz, A&H Zeds are very good mixers indeed. The faders are Alps, as used in the A&H PA series and feel smooth, if a little "loose". I'm told internal construction is on individual edge-wise PCBs (rather than one huge flat circuit board like Soundcraft Spirit desks), which makes servicing MUCH easier. Sound quality is up to fully "Pro" spec and I'd defy anyone to tell the difference in sound quality between a ZED and any other high-end analogue desk. Pete. StevenW2
Decent small mixers. We bought one for small AV work - the USB input is great for playing DVD etc via a laptop. Only downside I've encountered is the limited 3-band EQ. Once or twice I've been looking for 4-band Eq with a lavalier mic in a very live room. Last time I just put a graphic in the rack and used it. My son constantly pinches it for recording when I'm not looking and his guitar teacher is very impressed with the results. Overall very good value for money. StevieR
Excellent pieces of kit. Very quiet signal path and very well built for the price. Its not a Midas but for £270-£300 it is great value. Steve

mervaka
you pay out your nose for the midas brand. if midas were to make a similar desk that performed no better or worse, would it still only cost £300? on a lighter note, the electronics in that little desk aren't that dissimilar from the big A&H ML desks. you lose features moreso than quality.
